How Hot Tub Removal Works in Bakersfield
Updated June 2026A dead spa is 600–1,000 pounds that won't fit through a gate. Here's exactly how we get it out — electrical, draining, tight backyards and all — from $475 flat.
How much does it cost to remove a hot tub in Bakersfield?
From $475 flat for a standard spa, including cutting it up, carrying it out, hauling, disposal, and sweeping the pad. Swim spas and crane-access jobs are quoted firm from photos before booking.
Does the price include hauling the surround, steps, and cover?
Yes — the cover, steps, and the spa's own cabinet/surround go with it. An attached deck or custom gazebo is extra, but we'll bundle it in one visit and quote it up front.
Do you offer free on-site or photo quotes for complex spa removals?
Yes. Text two photos — the spa and the path out — to (661) 282-7085 for a firm, free quote, usually within the hour. Complex jobs get a free on-site look when needed.
Do I need to disconnect the power before your crew arrives?
Power should be off at the breaker before removal day, and a licensed electrician should disconnect the spa's wiring. We'll explain exactly what's needed when you book and can refer local electricians.
Can your team cap or disconnect the 220V wiring?
Electrical disconnection should be done by a licensed electrician for safety and code — we coordinate timing and can point you to one. Once it's disconnected and power is off, we handle everything else.
Does the hot tub need to be drained before removal?
It helps — drain it a day ahead via the valve, a hose siphon, or a sump pump. If you can't, we pump it on site as part of the job. A full spa holds 300–450 gallons, so draining first speeds things up.
What if my spa is built into a wooden deck or gazebo?
No problem — we cut the spa out flush and can demolish the surrounding deck or gazebo in the same visit. Tell us about it when you send photos so the quote is exact.
Do you cut the hot tub into pieces to get it out of a tight backyard?
Yes — that's the standard method. We cut the shell and cabinet into sections that fit through a normal side gate, so fences, tight side yards, and pools aren't a problem.
What gate width do you need to remove a hot tub?
Because we cut the spa into sections, a standard side gate (about 3 feet) is plenty. If access is unusually tight, we cut smaller — nothing else on your property has to move.
How long does hot tub removal take?
Most standard spa removals take two to three hours from first cut to swept pad. You only need to be present for the brief walkthrough at the start.

"Absolutely wonderful service. These guys were quick, friendly, happy, and ready to work. The free appraisal was fast and they immediately started once we agreed. They cleaned up any scrap left from what they took and even offered to grab more if needed. This company is CSUB student owned and operated, the 2 founders are who helped me and it was great. Highly recommend these guys to anyone in need!"

"I do a lot of posts and reviews mostly for food and restaurants. This is my first time doing one for a service such as SWIFT. The guys showed up promptly when they said they would, and kept in contact with me great communication. They were very professional and nice. They cleared out the whole center of my garage for a fair price. Overall happy with my experience and 10 out of 10 would recommend."

"These guys are legit. My backyard was absolutely jacked and they knocked it out in under and hour. And the price was extremely reasonable. They went above and beyond and cleaned more than I asked. The fact that it's family owned and they hire college students to help them with a job while they're in school is what absolutely pushes them over the top. I recommend them to anyone who needs clutter…"

"Christian and Allen were amazing. They came out, took a look at the item being removed (soa) and gave an honest appraisal. Even though a light rain had started, it did not deter them and they were positive and approachable through their process. They left the area in great condition, cleaning everything up and at no time did the weather or task slow them down or begrudge them. I know in the fut…"
